Who we are
This website is operated by Light in the Dark Analytics LLC, based in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. When we say "we," "us," or "our" on this page, we mean Light in the Dark Analytics LLC.
What we collect directly
When you contact us through this website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and anything else you choose to share. We only collect what you give us directly.
Analytics and cookies
If you accept analytics cookies, we use PostHog to understand which pages help and which miss. If you reject, nothing loads. Your choice sticks until you change it.
PostHog records page views, events, and an anonymous ID so we can see how visitors move through the site. We use the PostHog US cloud. We have session recordings turned off.
Full detail on each cookie, its purpose, and how long it lasts lives in our cookie policy.
Legal basis and data transfer
We only run analytics after you give consent. That consent is our legal basis. PostHog processes and stores data on US servers. By accepting, you understand the data moves to the US.
How we use it
We use the information you share directly to respond to your inquiry, follow up on conversations, and provide the services you request. We use analytics to improve the site. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information for any reason.
Third-party services
We rely on a small set of named third-party providers. Each has its own privacy practices:
- PostHog (US cloud) for product analytics, only after you consent. PostHog privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Pages hosts this site. Cloudflare sees request-level data (IP, user agent) as part of normal web hosting. Cloudflare privacy policy.
- Calendly when you book a call. Calendly receives the name, email, and details you submit on its form. Calendly privacy policy.
We do not share your information with advertising networks, data brokers, or any party outside of the providers listed above.
Your rights
No matter where you live, you can email us at data@lightinthedarkanalytics.com to ask what information we have, request corrections, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw analytics consent anytime from the cookie settings link in the footer.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
- Right to know what personal information we have collected and how we use it.
- Right to delete the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is nothing to opt out of.
- Right to data portability ... receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal. If your browser sends GPC, we treat it as a reject-all on analytics before you see the banner.
Data retention
We keep inquiry emails and any information you send us for up to 24 months after your last contact, then delete it. Analytics data in PostHog is retained for up to 12 months. Consent records are retained for 365 days, then the banner reappears and you make a fresh choice.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for business owners and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us at data@lightinthedarkanalytics.com and we will delete it.
